River finished his championship at the St. Croix Valley Kennel Club show in Lake Elmo, MN, on 08/24/2025, handled by co-owner, Sunny Lambert. On 08/29/2025, he entered the ring the first time as a special at the capable hands of co-breeder, Avery Miller. He won Best of Breed over some very nice specials for his first major and champion defeat towards his Grand. He went on to win a nice working group 2. That weekend he went Best of Breed again for another major and champion defeat with Avery. On Monday, the final day of the show, he went Best of Opposite sex for his final major and champion defeat at the hands of his owner, Linda Gill!
